Case Study - PEN Testing for the City of Murrieta

The client reached out looking to identify vulnerabilities. No compliance was required that initiated the project but having a PEN Test was on their IT roadmap. The team wanted more visibility into their current environment, their overall goal was to gain knowledge on their environment.

We performed a vulnerability scan and penetration test on the current infrastructure and environment and provided reports with recommendations and/or remediations. Akins IT will evaluate the City of Murrieta's network security posture and security risks by performing vulnerability scanning and penetration testing across all networks including public and private IPs, servers, review switches, and firewalls firmware and policies.

Akins It gave the client insight into their vulnerabilities and recommended changes they can make to strengthen their environment. In specific, we gave insight into servers being used that they were not aware of.  They now have a better understanding of best practices  they need to implement.
